It touches on an immensely interesting problem of diagnostic and prognostic significance of various kinds of pulse with their subjective feelings of various movements, synonymous to the movements of various kinds of birds and reptiles, etc., as observed by the physicians of Egyption, Greek, Chinese, Arabic and the Indian systems of medicine. The portion devoted for the pulselore in tantrik literature is also informative.
Modern review offers an interesting information about the pulse formation, latest concept of frequency analysis with its applied scope for quantitative studies of pulse and the current status of sphygmology.
Last chapter of the monograph devoted on clinical and experimental studies on Nadi-Pariksa, i.e. the pulse examination is totally a new approach and an important contribution in the applied field of traditional method of pulse diagnosis. In this thought-provoking chapter Vatika, Paittika and Kaphaja pulses diagnosed by traditional method and traced on smoked papers with the Help of modern instrument have been studied qualitatively and quantitatively in the modern light in different phases of their contour formations.
