Glimpses from the Children Congress:
The Homeopathic Treatment of Children 27th February – 1st March 2009 in Badenweiler

Three of the most famous authors who have written about the homoeopathic treatment of children - Herbert Pfeiffer, Farokh Master and Roberto Petrucci – jointly tought a seminar on homoeopathy in paediatrics in Badenweiler.

The three authors Herbert Pfeiffer, Farokh Master and Roberto Petrucci have specialized on the homoeopathic treatment of children. The three doctors used the three days of the seminar to give an overview over important subject in paediatrics. Apart from talking about general subjects such as allergies, vaccination, and febrile convulsions, the main focus was on behavioural disorders such as ADS and autism and their homoeopathic treatment.

Herbert Pfeiffer - Author of "Homöopathie in der Kinder- und Jugendmedizin"

Herbert Pfeiffer possesses over 30 years of homoeopathic experience. He is the editor of the book "Homöopathie in der Kinder- und Jugendmedizin". He was active in homoeopathic training already at an early stage and can now look back on many years of lecturing. Between 1965 and 1969, Dr. Pfeiffer worked at the children’s hospital in Bern. In 1970, he settled down as a pediatrician in Prien / Chiemsee, and in 1978, he and his clinic moved to Kriftel/Hofheim am Taunus, where he still practises now. His work focusses on neuro-physiological diagnostics and therapy.

Farokh Master - Author of „Clinical observation of Children’s Remedies“

Farokh Master is one of the most famous homoeopathic doctors in India. Since 1980, he has been holding a chair in Homoeopathy at Mumbai University. In addition, he works as homoeopathic consultant for the largest homoeopathic hospital in India, where he successfully treats patients who are difficult to treat with orthodox medicine. In 1984, he founded a homoeopathic health care centre where, among others, poor patients are being treated. Dr. Farokh Master’s workload is immense – a day comprising 18 hours of work is no infrequent occurrence – and his clinical experience is vast.

Roberto Petrucci - Author of "Children–Homeopathic Materia Medica"

Roberto Petrucci is president of the Centre for Homoeopathy in Milan (Italy). He teaches at the University of Aquila and in the Italian Association of Homoeopaths.
"In my clinic, I always found it difficult to carry out a consultation with small children in a really satisfactory manner. In the course of time, I therefore tried to find out which symptoms I had to investigate in order to obtain as much information as possible. I thought that in first consultations with children it would be useful to collect paediatric symptoms and put them together in groups. I thus created a repertory which is subdivided into concepts. I tried to combine the various rubrics of the repertory into groups in order to be able to see the symptoms which belonged to the relevant concept.
