Born in Ehime Prefecture in 1953. For eight years she worked in television production of both drama and documentary in Japan followed by three years based in Britain for Japanese television news covering war, disaster, famine and current affairs. This took her travelling the world during which time she developed ulcerative colitis. At the end of her tether, she made a life-changing visit to a homoeopath after which she was completed cured with just four pills. She then left the world of television and signed up for a course in homoeopathy at the Regent's College, London. She felt restricted by the classical approach and so joined the C.P.H. London (The College of Practical Homoeopathy London) the following year as a second year student where she continued to study for three years. On graduation she sat and successfully passed the exams of the HMA (Homoeopathic Medical Association) which made her a qualified homoeopathic practitioner. She was given a special award in recognition of her hard work and efforts to overcome the language barrier as the first Japanese person to sit for these exams. In Britain she opened the Yui Homoeopathic Clinic and began practising as a homoeopath. At the same time she also continued her studies on a two year post graduate course at the C.P.H., feeling that she should deepen her knowledge of homoeopathy. During this time she met Dr. Nelson lecturing at the college, and she received a special education to benefit from his brilliant instruction. While studying at college she was also practising as a homoeopath. Following graduation she poured all her energy into her work as a homoeopath and accumulated a great deal of clinical experience (her first patients were Japanese resident in Britain and British people but soon she was regularly treating patients from all over Europe). Supported by European homoeopathic schools and homoeopathic organisations, she began to feel strongly that spreading homoeopathy in Japan would benefit the Japanese people, so there was a need to provide proper education for students to become homoeopaths. In April 1997 she established a proper and genuine school of homoeopathy there, the RAH (The Royal Academy of Homoeopathy Japan- recognised by the HMA), and she began to direct all her efforts into homoeopathic education. In April 2000 her work was recognised and she was made an honorary fellow of the HMA. In May 2001 she became a Doctor of Homoeopathy, as recognised by the IMU (International Medical University, Geneva, Switzerland). In March 2002 she was made an honorary member of the C.P.H. She wrote volume 33 of 'Homoeopathy in Alternative Medicine' as part of the 36-volume 'Lectures on Recent Medicine for Nursing' series, which was very well received.

Torako Yui
born 1953
pioneered the introduction of homeopathy to Japan over 10 years ago.
She began her career as a foreign correspondent for a Japanese TV station, until she fell ill with severe colitis. Her desperate search for a cure brought her to a British homeopath who was able to heal her.
She then decided to become a homeopath and to introduce this healing method to Japan. She founded the Japanese royal society of homeopathy, where she has so far trained over 1,000 Japanese homeopaths with great dedication.
Torako Yui is above all a committed practitioner of homeopathy. Her books arise from her extensive clinical experience.
Her enthusiasm is infectious, enabling her to take Japan by storm. She has specialized particularly in the cure of vaccination damage and autism.
