Instructions on Rescission for Consumers
(1) Right of Rescission
You can rescind your agreement to the contract within a period of 14 days in text form (e.g. by letter, fax, e-mail) without specifying any reasons or - if the goods are transferred to you prior to expiration of the period - by returning the goods. This period commences on receipt of this instruction in text form but not, however, before receipt of the goods by the recipient (in the case of recurring deliveries of the same type of goods, not before receipt of the first partial delivery) and also not before the performance of our information obligations pursuant to § 312c, para. 2 German Civil Code (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch, BGB) in connection with § 1, para. 1, 2 and 4 of the Information Order to the German Civil Code (BGB-InfoVerordnung, InfoV) as well as our obligations pursuant to § 312e, para. 1, sentence 1 BGB in connection with § 3 BGB-InfoV. For observation of the rescission period, the timely dispatch of the notice of rescission or the goods shall be sufficient.
(2) The notice of rescission should be sent to:
Narayana Verlag GmbH
79400 Kandern / Germany
Fax: +49 (0)7626 - 974 970 9

(3) Consequences of Rescission
In the case of a legally valid rescission, the performances already rendered by both parties are to be returned and, as applicable, the advantages gained (e.g. interest) are to be surrendered. If you cannot return to us the received performances in whole or in part or only in a deteriorated condition, then you must pay us, as applicable, compensation for lost value in this respect. With the transfer of goods, this shall not apply if the deterioration of the goods is caused exclusively due to inspection of the goods as would have been possible in the store, for example. You shall not have to pay any compensation for lost value for any deterioration of the goods caused by their intended use.
Goods capable of being sent by parcel post should be returned to us at our risk. You shall bear the costs of the return dispatch if the delivered goods correspond with the goods ordered and if the price of the goods to be returned does not exceed EUR 40.00 or if, with a higher price of the goods at the date of the rescission, you have not yet performed the counter-performance or made a contractually agreed part payment. Otherwise, you can return the goods free of charge. Please do not return the goods unstamped but place sufficient postage on the return parcel. Please state the mailing costs and we shall reimburse these to you. Goods which cannot be sent as a package shall be collected from you. Obligations for the reimbursement of payments must be met within 30 days. The period shall begin for you with the dispatch of your notice of rescission or the goods; for us, upon their receipt.
A rescission right shall not exist with video and audio recordings such as DVDs, CDs or cassettes insofar as the seals thereof have been broken.
